About This Pendant
This pendant combines two forms of natural preservation - dried white flowers and golden grass straws captured inside dichroic glass. The botanical elements are real plants that have been dried and suspended in the molten glass during the handmaking process. As the glass cooled and hardened, the plants were frozen in place, creating a permanent snapshot of nature. The blue dichroic glass surrounding them shifts color as light moves across the surface, making the botanical elements appear to move and breathe even though they're sealed inside.
The teardrop shape is 2 inches long - substantial and impossible to miss, but still refined enough for everyday wear. You can actually see individual flower petals and grass strands inside the glass, each one positioned slightly differently because of the handmade process. No two pendants will be identical. The botanical element gives it meaning beyond just visual appeal - you're wearing a piece of nature that's been preserved and transformed into wearable art.
Each pendant is handcrafted by teachers in Thailand in small batches. The process requires careful placement of the botanical elements and precise temperature control during glass fusing.
